I recently came back to the Chalet Lounge as it's been almost 8years since I've been back in Duluth ( I live in San Diego now). I used to come here regularly when I was in grad school at UMD and get the steak and eggs. The nostalgia of the same booths, glasses, and pull tabs definitely brought me back in time. The steak and eggs with home style fries was just as I remembered , delicious, and did not disappoint. Good food just as I remembered. Just be prepared to wait a tad bit.
Great food and friendly staff. This is our treat stop. Beer is cheap and the food is outstanding. My fave is the French dip and fries.

I love a great dive bar and I love a dive bar that serves a great breakfast, and that is just what I got. Extra Crispy huge portion of buttery hash browns eggs and French toast. There was nothing glamorous here just a great breakfast while driving through town in the morning.
Breakfast here was well worth the wait. Stopped in Sunday morning at 10:30 and enjoyed Bloody Mary's and pull tabs while waiting for food. They were very busy and food took 45min- hour. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere
Wow good local food here in Duluth! Kinda a mom and pop place on the edge of Hermantown...it's busy as it's more a bar than a restaurant but food is tasty and worth the wait. Which by the way is about a hour! Be warned but it's tasty and worth the wait... nothing special but Socks the waitress is awesome and super nice! Come in hungry, leave very full!
